Before making this purchase, I had no brown clothing in my wardrobe. But this particular shade of brown---a deep, rich espresso---caught my eye enough that I tried it on. And fell in love. In addition to the gorgeous color, I found the knit fabric with its inset panels of faux leather and ribbing to be novel and a welcome addition to my Fall wardrobe. Pair the skirt with the matching zip-up cardigan to yield a more casual alternative to a standard suit that still looks put-together and professional. If you're worried about the short length, buy a pair of matching brown opaque tights to cover up a little more. For a long, lean look, add brown suede heels or boots.
