As our journey continues we’re all aboard a high speed train to our next destination. Enjoy soaking up the scenery while sipping espresso. As you make your way up the Amalfi Coast, through Rome, and across the hills of Tuscany you’ll come across a lavish city where striking architecture surrounds you, flower boxes line the windowsills and gondolas float along narrow canals. You’re in Venice, one of the most revered, romantic cities on the sea.
The unique blend of art, history and culture inspires your color choices for the month. You’ll be robed in shades of currant, silver and gunmetal, illuminated by moments of pink and silver hardware. Textured ombré prints and Venetian lace patterns reflect the region’s heritage. By mid-month black and ivory pieces with sculptured seaming and pattern blocking will refresh the collection.
You feel renewed and enriched by the beauty that surrounds you. As you transition in to fall you’re ready to take the next step – it’s about the journey, not just the destination! Presenting the Caché Design Team’s favorite pieces from our September Collection:
Psssst! In New York City? Looking for a fun day-time outing in the remaining summer weeks? We’ll give you a hint, from one Caché girl to another: it’s Rockefeller Center.
While you may recognize good ol’ 30 Rock from any one of your favorite on-screen representations (30 Rock, Elf, The Godfather, The Today Show—pick one!), what a lot of New Yorkers and tourists may not know is that this iconic locale transforms into a super-stylish summer oasis each summer.
If you’re hungry, check out Summer Garden Bar, one of our favorite outdoor Manhattan dining outfits: it offers a veritable seasonal cornucopia of hand-made pasta, lobster, burgers, steak, and desserts for all palates. True to its name, Summer Garden Bar also features a wide range of house-crafted cocktails and wine—both by the bottle and glass.
We dig that Rockefeller Center, like Summer Garden Bar, always has something totally amazing on tap. This summer we love artist Jeff Koons’ botanical Split-Rocker installation, a truly spectaculartopiary (is it a horse? Is it a dinosaur?) that towers over 37 feet high and flowers into more than 50,000 blooms. A definite summer must-see!
Our takeaway? If you’re on the hunt for a fun spot in NYC to meet the girls for drinks or spend time with your significant other, we’ve officially given Rockefeller Center the Caché seal of approval!

Now that it’s August, all we can think about is our next (last?) summer escape. Are you still dreaming of perfect beach towns, bikini weather and a bit of nature, too? If so, and if you’re in the general vicinity (or own a private jet) consider…
This small island off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts is as quaint as it gets. With beautiful port towns, woodsy, windy roads, and miles of beaches, Martha’s Vineyard is one of the best summer escapes on the Atlantic. If and when you go, don’t miss…
Farmers Markets: One of the best parts about leaving the city (any city) is eating like a country girl. Fresh fruits and vegetables, small batch jams and pickles, and homemade, still-warm-from-the-oven pastries are staples at the islands farm stands and markets.
Beaches: Martha’s Vineyard has fantastic beaches with rolling dunes and (surprising for the New England) clear water. We love South Beach on the southeastern shore for a day of fun/sun.
Edgartown: This is “downtown” Martha’s Vineyard. You’ll find bars and restaurants, great shopping and plenty to see. One of our favorite things to do is grab a drink at one of the many dockside bars and watch the yachts come and go from the beautiful harbor.
Bottom Line: Martha’s Vineyard is the perfect summertime escape on an idyllic little island far from the scratch and claw of urban living. Meet us there?
So I’ve just returned from a much-needed vacation to Puerto Rico, and I’m not kidding when I say I spent the entire time in palazzos.
Who would have thought this early 70’s trend would be making a raging comeback in the 21st Century? Lucky for us, because these just may be The Ultimate Vacation Pant.
Puerto Rico has maybe the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. I spent most afternoons soaking up the sun, frozen margarita in hand. But come sunset, it was on with the snake print palazzos and go. I wore them for walks along the shore, and kayaking in nearby Fajardo’s Bioluminescent Bay, which I highly recommend.
For cocktails and live music at the local bars it was a decision between my black sash-tie palazzos and my leopard print ones. Either, paired with a simple blouse, made transitioning from day to night a no-brainer. Another thing: palazzos are lightweight and breezy, perfect for dancing the night away to reggae beats.
On my last day exploring the island, I spent all afternoon shopping in Old San Juan. My outfit? Palazzos – the paisley ones. Those, plus a white tank top and sandals for fabulous tropical tourist style.
WHAT TO KNOW?
In the heart of the Czech Republic stands one of the world’s most well-preserved cities, Prague. Hidden in the mountains, this little gem is utterly unlike any other European hotspot and absolutely worth a schlep across the pond!
From Special Correspondent Rachel Dandeneau, Caché Regional Vice President
With so many Caché boutiques in so many fabulous locations, it’s hard to keep up with what our girl is doing from city to city. To stay on top of current trends, local events, and hot venues, we’ve decided to reach out to a few of our regional VPs and find out what it’s like to be a Caché girl, no matter where you are.
Our first stop is Houston, Texas, where we’ve asked Rachel Dandeneau, Caché regional VP and Texas native, to play the role of tourist in her hometown. Rachel obliges with the lowdown on some of her city’s hidden gems.
